This rose is our destiny
This rose is our destiny, hikisakare
Futari no te wa, hanarete itta
This rose is our destiny, tearing us apart
Our hands being separated
Nemuru toki mo anata e no yume (1) idakinagara
Todoke! Sekai no hate made
Even while I sleep, embracing dreams of you,
I reach! To the end of the world
Toki ni ai wa tsuyoku hito no kokoro wo kizutsuke mo suru keredo
Yume wo atae, yuuki no naka ni itsumo hikari kagayaki hanatsu
Hitotsu no chikara ni...
Sometimes love deeply wounds a person's heart, however,
It also grants us dreams; from within our courage, a light will always radiate
As one power
This rose is our destiny
This rose is our destiny, michibikare
Futari no ima (2), mou ichidou deau
This rose is our destiny, leading us
In this moment, we meet once again
Donna toki mo ano yakusoku
Wasurenaide, yatto koko made kita yo
No matter when we made that promise
Don't forget it; finally we've come this far
Toki ni ai kedakaku hito no kokoro wo tsuranuku you ni motome
Mamoru mono ni mamorareru mono, itsumo hikari kagayaki hanatsu
Hitotsu no chikara ni...
Sometimes love nobly seeks a person's heart, piercing it
Protected by the protector; (3) from within our courage, a light will always radiate
As one power
Toki ni ai wa tsuyoku hito no kokoro wo kizutsuke mo suru keredo
Yume wo atae, yuuki no naka ni itsumo hikari kagayaite
Ai wa tsuyoku hito no kokoro wo ugokashite yuku
Dakara futari de iru, kitto sekai wo kaeru tameni
Soshite subete wa, hitotsu no chikara ni naru
Sometimes love deeply wounds a person's heart, however,
It also grants us dreams; from within our courage, a light will always shine
Love deeply moves a person's heart
So we're here together surely to change the world
And everything will become one power
Translator's Notes:
(1) This is not the kanji for 'dream', but actually the kanji for 'thought' or 'feeling'; however, this is the kanji used in the lyric booklet, with a small note next to it that it is to be read 'yume'.
(2) The lyric booklet has the lyric for this line as 'futari no ima', but Okui-san sings 'futari wa ima'. They both mean essentially the same thing, one perhaps a bit more poetically than the other... I'm not sure which one is "right".
(3) I don't think this translation is entirely correct. I kind of understand what it's saying but... it's hard to put into English. Eugh. This is the general gist though.
